    1. Thank you. If you observe the day, I hope you will find a deeper walk with the Saviour through your recognition, devotion, and observance.
For me, I have difficulty validating calendar observances (except the Lord’s day) such as Christmas, New Year, Easter. The Old Covenant had pilgrimages to the redemptive feasts and the Christian Church has historically imitated them (without warrant is my belief). Clearly, the New Covenant is different and better-and it won’t be like the former one-if serious analysis of the scripture is undertaken. The New has Holy Spirit guidance and fellowship where the worshipper doesn’t have to travel to a place or consult experts of the Law (the neighbors and brothers were the Levites and priests scattered in Israel).
The weekly cycle continues but with modifications and new knowledge. It is a redemptive observance of Jesus as giver of life through His death, suffering, and resurrection as you know. We worship Him with two ordinances, which, rightly understood proclaim His work and our dedication to Him.
The incarnation of Jesus is a wonder to meditate everyday as is His sacrifice for us.
What I really despise is New Years resolutions and Lent-in my mind they are counter scripture. We are not our own and don’t worship and improve by our time-table. Worship and sanctification is never put off for a certain time.
