This clear explication by Mark Jones shows the bigger picture of the purpose of God in Christ. For me, it has resolved some outstanding issues of the Trinity. The Triunity of God has always been revealed from the first pages of scripture (Gen. 1.2 – the Spirit, Ge. 2.4-Yahweh God).
It is on the basis of Christ that God will judge the world: Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him (Jn. 5.22-23 NIV).
Through the Advocate of the Spirit (Jn. 14.6) both the Father and Y’shua intimately commune with the believer as promised in the New Covenant: Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them (Jn. 14.23 NIV). Mark Jones’ post can almost be expanded by Jn. 17.26: I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them (NLT).
