A little over a year ago I walked the Canaanite Tunnel ending at the Pool of Siloam. They are still excavating the road where the stone tablet was found so I couldn’t return up to the Temple Mount by ancient roadway yet. Instead of ascending to street level another underground route was the drainage tunnel that led to the Davidson Center’s Archaeological Park on the south side of the Temple Mount. The height of the tunnel is about 5 ft. and I hit my head several times climbing this tunnel. It is well lit and signs warn of low ceilings. So the Siloam Tunnel winds down to the pool and the drainage ditch leads back up. Jerusalem is an archaeologist’s dream.
